Enjoy surfing the last frontiers aboard the sailing vessel, the "Irish Mist", a John Pugh 50ft steel ketch with an 6 passenger max capacity. With over 9 years sailing the Southeast Asia and the best spots around Sumatra & the Mentawais, feel safe and in style with a seasoned Captain and crew.

Olas Navigator provides the Irish Mist with state of the art equipment from: G.P.S (global position satellite), to a Depth sounder, Loral radar, SSB-VHF radios, EPIRB, and life raft and a tender.

Hey Nick,

We got really good waves on the trip, the swell gradually dropped over the time, but we scored good waves at Ebay, Macca's, Telescopes, lots of places. Jorge and the crew were fantastic

We also got some awesome photos surfing, as Jorge's girlfriend takes great shots and we all walked away with anywhere from 115-280 shots of us individually

We did have a couple more dudes from Brazil on the boat, which made 7 in total, one of the blokes was a legend, the other was a bit of a knob, but you get that. The food was fantastic, he cook has been taught well by Jorge and we eat like Kings for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Very nutritious and healthy too.

The Boat (Irish Mist) ……… is a 50 ft steel ketch John Pugh, Australian made, making every trip to the Mentawai Islands a safer and more securing choice of boat. The Irish Mist is fully equip with all top grade Navigational Systems, GPS, Depth Sounder, Radar and further Safety Equipment. 2 x Air conditioning, Shower, 6 pax aft cabin in singles, DVD, TV, Kenwood 10 CD stacker, and tender.

Personal Service ……… is assisted by 4 crew, The Captain (Jorge), Hendra (Crew) and David (Crew) attending to the guest at all times needed.

The Menu ……… is another great service, as the four of us class ourselves as chefs in the kitchen, we all enjoy to cook up great meals throughout each day!!!!, and throughout the charter not often is the same meal made.

Wave and Weather Reports ……… are also a daily routine by The Captain, reporting swell, high and low pressure and most importantly wave height, direct from the Australian Meteorology, on top of his already acquired knowledge of the journey to different breaks throughout The Mentawais.

Photo Editing ……… Every guest has been overwhelmed with the amount of photos they receive on cd rom and video footage that is taken on charter included in photos are your personal surfing photos, just waves, islands, people, sunsets, fishing and general all supplied to you at the end of your experience of the Mentawais handed to you on cd. This is an additional cost well appreciated by all guests. a pprox $180 usd

Snorkeling……… gear aboard “The Irish Mist” is for you to take advantage of to take a dive over at anytime. Snorkeling is a must as you know at every break has a reef!!!!!!!!!!!

Fishing………GOLD COASTER MARTIN BRINGS DINNER IN aboard the Irish Mist we have top of the range Penn Rods and Reels with other top brand Fishing tackle including lines, lures ect. Every trip assure you of a 99.9% chance of hearing the fish run with the line as we trawl between surf spots, and pull in a great catch, if it is Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi mostly which obviously is a part of The Menu.

OVERALL:

Considering the service and facilities and importantly the knowledge with 8 years experience, our cost is one of very few that is defiantly worthwhile for you to consider your first or maybe 2^nd, 3^rd trip to the Mentawais. 11 days 12 nights pick up and return to Padang Airport.

Just let us know so we can pack the boat with extra fresh fruits and vegetables. We know what it's like to be hungry after surfing some of the most epic waves of your life... We assure you good, quality food.
