We offer individual table settings for intimate dining and also a long table that can seat up to 10 for a group or family to share.

Our dinner menu changes daily which allows our guests to sample a variety of international influenced cuisine, from japanese to european and australian to filipino style meals. We are also happy to adapt our meals to suit individual eating requirements.

Seafood is abundantly available and includes freshly caught fish such as tuna, marlin, spanish mackeral as well as mud crabs and prawns locally farmed on the island. Meat and vegetarian options are always available on the menu.

Activities and entertainment

Sagana Resort has an entertainment area in the Restaurant. It offers Satellite TV, Billiard/Pool table, Video, DVD, & Stereo.

Sagana resort offers more than the perfect wave. Day trips to secluded islands can be arranged, or else hap on a habal-habal (motorbike) and travel around the island for a right seeing adventure.

Scuba diving, kayaking, & fishing trips (bring your own rod) are available, can be booked by Sagana resort.

The Surf

Dates Generally, the best months for surf in this area are August through to the beginning of November. This is when we get the most typhoon swells and the best winds. During Mai, June, and July, the surf is generally smaller. BUT when it’s on the conditions are ideal. A bit of a gamble at this time of year though. From December to April the winds are often strong and cross shore, BUT the swell is always pretty big and some surfers prefer this time of year.

Geographic Location.

Mainland General Luna is situated at the southern side of Sergio Island, Province of Surigao del Norte.

It is bounded on the north by the Municipality of Pilar, on the south by the small islands of Daku and La Januza, on the west by the Municipality of Dapa and on the east by the Philippine Sea.

It is 16 kilometers away from the Municipality of Dapa (the entry point to the island) and approximately 40 nautical miles from Surigao City.

Ways to get to Siargao:

FROM MANILA:
The fastest way would be to fly from Manila to either Butuan or Cebu. You will then have to travel either by a bus from Butuan or by ferry/plane from Cebu to Surigao City.

From Surigao, depending on your time of arrival, you may have to stay overnight before proceeding to Dapa,Siargao the following day.

From Dapa,Siargao, you will then take a jeepney ride to the resort/surfing/beach areas in General Luna.

FROM CEBU:
Another possibility which depends on the flight schedule of Seair , you can fly direct from Cebu to Siargao (Del Carmen area). This naturally eliminate the need to stay overnight in Surigao City.

As mentioned above, if the Seair direct to Siargao flight is not available , you can also fly via Asian Spirit to Surigao City from Cebu as this significantly cuts back the travel time.

The Cebu-Surigao City ferry takes about 4 hours one-way! Depending on the flight schedule, you may or may not have to stay overnight in Surigao City.

Once in Siargao,

Once in Siargao, adventure-seekers and beach lovers who have only heard of Boracay and Dakak will be surprised to see the wonders of this Island.

The truly remarkable sites and attractions are as diverse as the topography of the islands and islets.

Most activities are be enjoyed.

The weather

The weather is basically relatively constant all year round with an average temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.

Although there are no great variations in the climate, it can be divided into two seasons, the rainy season from December to February and dry season for the rest of the year.

Accommodation

SURFING SPOTS
Cloud 9
Cloud 9 is situated directly in front of Sagana Resort, no boats needed. The wave is a great right hander that can be both fun and challenging. Although it is a relatively short wave, the fact that it barrels nearly the whole way guarantees satisfaction. Just check out the photos (all Cloud 9).

Jacking Horse
Some what fickle right hander that can be really fun on it’s day. Dependent on swell direction, but when small is a great wave for beginners.

Tuason Left
Some consider this the best left on the island. Hollow and shallow and only good over 3 feet. Beginners need not apply.

Rock Island (Tuesday Rock)
Long fun forgiving right hander about a 10min boat ride from Sagana Resort. When it is on this wave is so much fun and as long as any on the island

Stimpies
World class left hander, also 10min from Sagana Resort. This spot is Epic. Big or Small Stimpies is what you picture when dreaming of tropical surf.

Pacifico
Another for the goofy footers. 1 hour boat ride from Sagana Resort. Long workable left that works on all tides.

Other Waves
With in 2 hours boat ride there are approximately 10 world class breaks, which are always uncrowded and well worth the trip. There are also a few well guarded secret spots that can be found if you look hard enough.
